    • While SEC enforcement activity declined overall in 2024, the Commission continued to aggressively pursue litigation in the digital assets industry.  With the advent of a new presidential administration, however, the SEC’s priorities have shifted sharply.
    • Meanwhile, private securities litigation increased slightly in 2024, with perhaps the most notable recent development coming in Delaware, where the Legislature recently passed significant legislation to reform derivative litigation.
    • S&C’s Securities Enforcement and Litigation Update reviews and analyzes these and other recent developments in SEC enforcement and private securities litigation, including numerical trends, areas of focus, and significant court decisions.
    • The Firm’s lawyers are available to provide additional detail or analysis of any issues covered in this Update, including for CLE credit. Please contact any member of the Firm’s Securities Litigation Practice or Securities & Commodities Investigations Practice for further information.
