On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (the “OBBBA”) into law. The OBBBA makes fundamental changes to the clean energy-related tax incentives modified or created under the Inflation Reduction Act by accelerating terminations and phaseouts for several credits, including solar and wind energy credits and clean hydrogen credits. In addition, the OBBBA creates new limitations on access to clean energy tax credit to certain taxpayers with ties to countries deemed to be detrimental to the national security of the United States.
