    On May 28, 2024, the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) amended the Cuban Assets Control Regulations to provide relief from certain economic sanctions targeting Cuba. The regulatory amendments clarify authorizations of internet-based services, update the definition of independent private sector entrepreneurs, and expand access to certain financial services and transactions involving Cuba.
