    NAFTA’s ‘Sunset Period’ for Private Investors to Pursue Claims in Arbitration Will End as of July 1, 2023

    Investors with potential claims under NAFTA will have to act before July 1, 2023 when the treaty’s sunset period expires, or risk the loss of those claims. Depending on the nature of the claims asserted, investors may need to meet certain pre-arbitration conditions before asserting a claim.
