Annie Ostrager, Co-Head of S&C’s Employment Law Group, Alex Gross, a partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Trade Secrets Groups, and associate Jared Berson co-authored an article for Law360 on trade secret carveouts in state-level bans on noncompete agreements, including recent and pending litigation that may clarify how such agreements must be tailored.
Looking ahead, the authors note that “as the noncompete landscape continues to change, trade secret exceptions to state restrictions will continue to underscore the importance of safeguarding trade secrets in an era of heightened employee mobility.”
