Senior M&A Partner Frank Aquila authored an article for Agenda discussing the innately human nature of negotiating. Frank explains that AI tools can enhance the deal process, but will never replace the principles, strategies and skills required to drive successful negotiations. “Ultimately, when a negotiation is unfolding in real time, it is the negotiators, rather than AI, that read the room, execute on strategy, and deliver the deal,” he notes.
“While technology can highlight patterns from past deals, only human insight can interpret them, balance competing interests and craft creative solutions,” he writes. “AI can accelerate the deal process, [but] it cannot replace the people who drive it.”
