William Torchiana and Marion Leydier, Co-Heads of the Firm’s Global Insurance/Reinsurance Practice, and Nicholas Menillo, Co-Head of S&C’s Insurance Coverage Group, co-authored the Introduction (Global Overview) and USA Chapter to Lexology’s Panoramic: Insurance & Reinsurance 2024, a reference guide that provides a summary of the local insurance and reinsurance legal and regulatory regime for multiple jurisdictions. The Introduction focuses on the shifting regulatory landscape across the global insurance sector, including domestic and international developments with respect to capital and supervision. The USA Chapter provides an overview of key features of the U.S. insurance regulatory regime, including regulation of insurance companies and activities, insurance claims and coverage, reinsurance principles and disputes, as well as key emerging trends in the United States.
