S&C litigation partners David Rein and Matthew Schwartz and litigation associate Brian Gottlieb have authored an article for Practical Law in which they examine the applicability of the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act of 1998 (SLUSA), which concerns federal defenses to securities claims brought under state law. The article also highlights procedural and strategic issues relevant to parties litigating securities class actions implicating SLUSA, and identifies the limits to SLUSA’s applications.
