Fusions & Acquisitions Magazine recently published an article by Olivier de Vilmorin and Arnaud Berdou titled “The Rise of Shareholder Activism in France.” This article explores the various trends in French shareholder activism. With the benefit of hindsight on recent activist campaigns, it sets out the techniques that may be used by activists to achieve their goals, as well as some of the constraints to be taken into account. Another part of the article outlines the steps French companies should take in response to shareholder activism campaigns.
