S&C partner Inosi Nyatta, co-head of our Project Development & Finance Group, has been named a 2019 “Dealmaker of the Year” by The American Lawyer for guiding Cheniere Energy Inc. in the successful financing of its $6.1 billion Corpus Christi liquefaction project. This innovative deal hinged on Inosi accounting for changing market dynamics in a complex landscape to create “a new financing structure that is now the precedent for other LNG projects to come.” Inosi was also named a Project Finance MVP by Law360 at the end of last year.
Inosi joins an impressive list of S&C lawyers who have been named “Dealmakers of the Year” by The American Lawyer. In the 21 years of the award’s existence, S&C has had 21 winners, more than any other law firm. Last year, M&A partner Krishna Veeraraghavan received the honor for his work advising Amazon on its acquisition of Whole Foods; and in 2017, three S&C M&A partners were honored: Joe Frumkin and Eric Krautheimer for their work advising AT&T in its $108.7 billion acquisition of Time Warner; and Matt Hurd for his work advising Bayer AG in its $66 billion acquisition of Monsanto Co.
