Three projects on which S&C advised were honored at the 2018 IJGlobal Americas Awards, and a fourth was honored at the 2018 IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Awards. The $6.1 billion financing for the development of the
Corpus Christi LNG train 3, in which S&C advised the sponsor, Cheniere, was recognized as “North American Oil & Gas Deal of the Year.” The second deal, in which S&C client Tillman Infrastructure received an initial investment of $500 million to finance the construction of new telecom towers in the United States, was awarded “North American Telecoms Deal of the Year.”
Inosi Nyatta, co-head of S&C’s global
Project Development & Finance practice, led on both of these matters along with
Brian Hamilton, M&A partner and co-head of S&C’s Private Equity Group, for Tillman Infrastructure. Inosi was recently named a “
Dealmaker of the Year” by The American Lawyer for her work on Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG train 3. She was also named a
Project Finance MVP by Law360. The Alto Maipo Hydropower project was honored as “Latin American Refinancing Deal of the Year.” S&C advised on a component of this transaction, in which AES Gener acquired from S&C client Antofagasta/Minera Los Pelambres its entire stake in Alto Maipo.
Sergio Galvis, head of S&C’s
Latin America practice and co-editor of
Latin Lawyer’s “The Guide to Corporate Crisis Management,” led this matter.
Australia Pacific LNG’s $1.4 billion refinancing was honored as “Asia-Pacific Midstream Oil & Gas Deal of the Year” at the IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Awards. S&C partners Inosi Nyatta and
Jamieson Logie, head of S&C’s Asia-Pacific Projects practice, advised APLNG in this matter.
The IJGlobal Awards recognize excellence in energy and infrastructure transactions and the organizations that orchestrate these deals.
