American Constitution Society Panel Reviews 2014 Supreme Court Term

July 1, 2015

On July 1, Mr. Wall participated in the American Constitution Society’s annual panel discussion at the National Press Club to review the 2014 Supreme Court Term. Jeff discussed King v. Burwell, which held that tax credits are available to individuals in states that utilize a federally facilitated Exchange. Mr. Wall explained that “the Administration had a more compelling story to tell about why its interpretation must have been the one that Congress had intended.” Though the King v. Burwell decision will undoubtedly affect other pending cases relating to the Affordable Care Act, Mr. Wall said, “The Act is here to stay.”
