On November 1, Penny Shane participated in a panel titled “Class Action Reform Efforts: Promoting Fairness or Shutting the Courthouse Doors?” The panel, which was hosted by the Fordham and New York chapters of the American Constitution Society at Fordham Law School, addressed the role of class actions in the U.S. legal system, focusing on the Fairness in Class Action Litigation and Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency Act of 2017, currently before Congress.
