S&C Sponsors BoardNext – Southern California Discussion on Navigating a Public Company Sale

On June 17, S&C sponsored a BoardNext – Southern California discussion titled, “Navigating a Public Company Sale – What Aspiring Board Members Need to Know” at the California Club in Los Angeles. M&A partner and global private equity co-head Rita O’Neill guided the interactive discussion with Jennifer Muller of Houlihan Lokey, which addressed navigating a public company sale, and the types of questions that board members should be asking on topics such as company valuation, conflicts of interest and use of external advisors. S&C is a founding sponsor of BoardNext in both New York and Los Angeles.
Rita has a broad-based practice that includes advising both U.S. and non-U.S. public and private companies on some of their most significant mergers and acquisitions transactions, joint ventures and securities offerings, as well as providing general corporate advice on disclosure and corporate governance. Rita also serves as co-chair of the ABA’s Women in M&A Subcommittee, co-chair of the ABA’s Acquisition of Public Companies Subcommittee. She is a frequent speaker at WCD BoardNext events in Los Angeles and regularly participates on panels regarding gender diversity and women in the legal profession.
