At the Futures Industry Association Law & Compliance (FIA L&C) Annual Conference, which was held from May 2 to 4 in Washington, D.C., Ryne Miller presented on a panel titled “Cryptocurrencies and the Blockchain: The Product,” which provided an introduction to and overview of bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrency and tokens.
In addition, John Miller presented on a panel titled “Insolvency and You – CCP Recovery & Resolution, FCM Bankruptcy, and the Impact on Indirect Clearing,” evaluating what happens when an entity’s FCM or a DCO becomes insolvent or is the subject of a resolution proceeding.
The FIA L&C annual conference includes more than 900 attendees and three days of panels addressing the regulation of futures, derivatives and over-the-counter products.
