2nd Annual Powering Africa Summit

January 29, 2016
Washington, District of Columbia

On January 29, Ms. Nyatta spoke on a panel titled “How to Attract Capital,” which was moderated by the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) at the 2nd annual Powering Africa Summit in Washington, D.C. This was a three-day conference, which attracted global project developers, energy utilities, financial institutions and government ministers engaged in expanding Africa’s power and infrastructure sectors.

Following a sold-out conference in 2015, the conference’s second year aimed to continue discussion with respect to the Power Africa initiative, the U.S. government’s plan for large-scale investment into Africa’s energy sector. This year’s speakers included project developers, investors, energy utilities, private and governmental lenders and government officials from Africa and elsewhere.
