Renata Hesse, co-head of S&C’s

Renata joined S&C as a partner in 2017 after more than 15 years in the Antitrust Division at the Department of Justice, including leading that division twice as Acting Assistant Attorney General and serving as Chief of the Networks and Technology Section (now the Technology and Financial Services Section). She was also previously Senior Counsel to the Chairman for Transactions at the Federal Communications Commission. Widely regarded as an expert on technology-related antitrust developments, Renata frequently speaks at antitrust and legal forums, including in recent months at the GCR Live: Cartels in Washington, DC, and at the Spring Meeting of the ABA Antitrust Section, which she co-chaired. She also participated in a panel on merger control in the technology space alongside British and EU competition regulators at GCR Live Telecoms, Media & Technology in London on June 17.
