Seventh Annual SNL Bank M&A Symposium

On October 7 and 8, Messrs. Eitel and Menting co-chaired SNL’s 7th Annual Bank M&A Symposium. The two-day conference included numerous presentations and panel discussions, including a presentation and panel discussion titled "Market Trends, Themes and Outlook," moderated by Mr. Menting, in which the panelists discussed the current state of the market, emerging trends and predictions for deal activity in 2016 and beyond. Another panel titled "Views from the C-Suite: Executing a Successful M&A Strategy," moderated by Mr. Eitel, included several regional bank CEOs discussing best practices in deal design, execution, integration and cultural considerations. Mr. Cohen gave the keynote address and spoke on numerous topics of interest in the banking world today, including recommendations for improving the regulatory application process for bank consolidation and shareholder activism in the banking world. Messrs. Eitel and Menting have co-chaired this conference since its inception seven years ago.
