Panel on Investment Management Regulation at ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting

On September 15, Donald Crawshaw spoke on a panel titled “The Impact of the Trump Administration on Investment Management Regulation” as part of the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section Annual Meeting, which took place in Chicago. The panel was presented by the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee. The panelists discussed possible regulatory priorities under the new administration; OCIE priorities and observations from recent exams; the impact of the Department of Labor fiduciary rule on the fund industry and the possibility of a SEC uniform fiduciary standard for brokers and advisers; and implementation of the new rules on investment company liquidity risk management programs and modernization of investment company reporting.
