On November 21, Mr. Crawshaw spoke on a panel titled, “What, Me? Yes, You: The Surprising Reach of the Registration Requirements of the Commodity Exchange Act,” as part of the American Bar Association Business Law Section Fall Meeting, which took place in Washington, D.C. The panel, which was presented by the Institutional Investors Committee and co-sponsored by the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee, explored the registration and other requirements arising under the Commodity Exchange Act that are relevant to various types of entities and organizations, and changes to such requirements as a result of the Dodd-Frank Act and recent CFTC rulemakings.
