Partners Nic Bourtin and Sam Seymour participated in SIFMA’s C&L Annual Seminar, the “premier event for compliance and legal professionals working in the financial services industry.” Nic participated on the panel “Handling a Regulatory Investigation – In House and Outside Counsel Perspective.” The panel focused on best practices in responding to subpoenas and conducting internal reviews, among other topics. Sam participated on the panel “Litigation Update – Regulatory and Criminal,” which addressed enforcement challenges in the current environment and the evolving DOJ guidance, among other topics.

Widely regarded as one of the preeminent lawyers in white-collar defense, Sam is consistently recognized by numerous leading legal publications, including Chambers USA, Legal 500 and Benchmark Litigation for his regulatory expertise in the financial sector. Sam is active in the organized bar, and served as president of the New York City Bar Association (2010 – 2012) and currently serves as chair of the board of the Practising Law Institute. |
