January 8, 2016
Washington, District of Columbia

On January 8, Mr. Cohen delivered a keynote speech at a meeting of the American Bar Association’s Banking Law Committee in Washington, D.C. His topic was: “A Banking System that Better Serves the Nation: A Different Mind-Set for Industry, Regulators and Congress.” He discussed ten different aspects of a mind-set change, including a balanced regulatory approach, the false narrative of what happened in 2008, the need for a more collaborative public-private sector approach and the view that banks still need to be punished.
