Conference on Emerging Legal Issues Related to Public Company Sustainability Disclosures

On June 19, Robert Buckholz participated in “Emerging Legal Issues Related to Public Company Sustainability Disclosures,” a conference held at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and jointly sponsored by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Law School. Attendees included academics, securities lawyers and former senior U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission officials, as well as SASB staff and board members. The discussions addressed a range of topics related to sustainability disclosure, including “Materiality and the Reasonable Investor in the Context of Sustainability Disclosure,” “Corporate Implementation of Sustainability Disclosure” and “Involvement of Regulators, Lawyers, Accountants, and Others with Respect to Sustainability Disclosure."
