On May 16 and 17, Nic Bourtin, Alex Willscher and Nicky Friedlander participated in the Cambridge Forum on Financial Institutions Enforcement Conference, which was held at the Inn at Fox Hollow in Woodbury, New York. On May 16, Alex spoke on a panel regarding “Recent Developments in Financial Institutions Enforcement and Current Case Law,” which addressed recent federal court decisions affecting financial institutions enforcement in the areas of the FCPA, securities and wire fraud, spoofing, among other topics. The panel also discussed the impact of DOJ policies around self-reporting and declinations.
The Forum is a meeting of leading outside counsel and internal counsel from major firms and financial institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe who gather to discuss recent developments in enforcement actions brought against financial institutions. Alex is a member of the Forum’s Steering Committee.
