Garrard Beeney participated in a panel titled “Patent Monetization & Enforcement: Tales from the Trenches” at Columbia Tech Ventures. The panelists discussed what qualifies as ‘efficient infringement’ and the effect of new patent laws on the licensing landscape; advice on patent strategies for tech startups as opposed to biopharma startups; and intellectual property policy advice for the new president, secretary of commerce and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
