Mr. Korb, Mr. Taylor and Ms. Wollman spoke at the Practising Law Institute’s Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures, & Other Strategic Alliances 2010 program. Mr. Korb spoke on the panel titled, “Hot Audit/Controversy Issues, Dispute and Litigation Strategies – Partnership Tax Cases,” and discussed topics such as the effects of TEFRA, how to handle an IRS controversy and IRS key issues for partnerships. Mr. Taylor spoke on the panel titled, “‘Check-the-Box’ Planning,” that covered the current planning techniques and issues under “Check-the-Box” regulations, including collateral consequences, harmonization of foreign tax planning with these rules and planning opportunities with hybrids. Ms. Wollman spoke at the lunch program, “Interesting Partnership Transactions of the Past Year.”
