S&C partner Joseph E. Neuhaus gave the welcoming address at this year’s ITA, IEL and ICC 8th annual Joint Conference on International Energy Arbitration along with Ana Sera e Moura of ICC International and David M. Castro, Sr., Esq of the Woodlands, Texas. Encompassing the insights of in-house counsel, market analysts, experts and private practice lawyers across a wide range of disciplines, the program also addressed the management of climate risk and the interplay with long term contracts and the evolving regulatory landscape.
While in Texas, Joe was also the featured speaker at the Houston International Arbitration Club’s (HIAC) meeting held concurrently with the ITA-IEL-ICC Joint Conference on January 23. Joe’s presentation was entitled “Due Process Paranoia in International Arbitration: How Worried Should We Be?” The HIAC holds monthly meetings to exchange information and perspectives on a range of topics in international arbitration.
