On January 30, Christine Trent Parker and Ryne Miller gave a presentation titled “Commodity Firm Coverage under US and EU Rules” at the Winter 2018 New York conference of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) addressing The Impact of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) on US Firms and Markets. Their presentation addressed regulatory issues applicable to commodities and derivatives trading firms under both U.S. and E.U. laws, focusing on the position limits and aggregation requirements under the Dodd-Frank Act (United States) and MiFID II (European Union). The conference was attended by legal and compliance professionals from the financial services industry.
