On November 7, Joseph Matelis participated in a panel discussion titled “Antitrust in the Modern Economy” at Cardozo School of Law. The panel addressed a variety of issues currently impacting antitrust law, including the application of classic antitrust law to challenges posed by big tech; federal and state investigations into leading tech companies; whether a successful monopolization case is plausible; and the increase in length of DOJ and FTC merger reviews. The panel was moderated by Sam Weinstein, Assistant Professor of Law at Cardozo and Faculty Co-Director of Cardozo’s The Samuel & Ronnie Heyman Center on Corporate Governance. Other panel members included Andrew Finch of Paul Weiss and Christina Ma of Wachtell.
