AT&T Inc. issued an aggregate principal amount of C$2 billion of debt securities. The offering was comprised of an issuance of two series of its notes in the following aggregate principal amounts: C$1.250 billion aggregate principal amount of 4.000% global notes due 2025 and C$750 million aggregate principal amount of 5.100% global notes due 2048.
The notes were sold under a shelf registration statement that AT&T had filed with the SEC on February 25, 2016. S&C, which advises AT&T and acted as counsel to the underwriters for the offering, represented RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and TD Securities Inc., the several underwriters. AT&T is a worldwide leader in telecommunications services with a market capitalization of more than $230 billion.
The S&C team for the issuance of the notes was led by Patrick Brown, along with Sarah Wilson, Anel Loubser and Katherine Cornish. Isaac Wheeler, Saul Brander and Andrew Motten advised on tax matters.
