AT&T Inc. Issues €2.25 Billion in Global Notes

AT&T Inc. issued €2.25 billion aggregate principal amount of its floating rate global notes due 2020. The proceeds from the sale of the notes are being used for general corporate purposes.

The notes were sold under a shelf registration statement that AT&T had filed with the SEC on February 25, 2016. S&C acted as counsel to the underwriters for the offering. Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch acted as the sole bookrunning manager for this offering. AT&T is a worldwide leader in telecommunications services with a market capitalization of more than $230 billion.

The S&C team for the issuance of the notes was led by Patrick Brown, along with Sarah Wilson, Anel Loubser and Katherine Cornish. Jeffrey Hochberg and Saul Brander, along with Andrew Motten and Joshua Graybill advised on tax matters. Kirsten Rodger advised on U.K. law matters.
