S&C litigation partner Tracy Richelle High and litigation associate Ashley Lhérisson authored an article in the latest issue of
PLI Current titled “Recent SEC Enforcement Actions Involving Revenue Recognition Fraud.” In the article, the authors note that revenue recognition improprieties, particularly premature revenue recognition, “continue to be areas of special interest to the SEC.” The article highlights significant developments over the past year and discusses the final phase-in of the updated revenue recognition standard, as well as noteworthy enforcement actions.
The authors advise that companies “remain committed to ensuring that they have robust internal controls, conduct thorough audits of those controls, and ensure warning signs from audits are given sufficient management attention.” To read the full article, click
