S&C client American Express completed a reorganization of its U.S. banking organization that consolidated its two U.S. insured depository institutions into a single national bank named American Express National Bank. The reorganization, among other related transactions, included the conversion of American Express Centurion Bank from a Utah-chartered industrial bank into American Express National Bank and the merger of American Express Bank, FSB, a federal savings bank, into American Express National Bank.
