“Rodgin Cohen: Wall Street’s Lawyer” (Institutional Investor)

February 2010

Mr. Cohen was interviewed by Institutional Investor in an article that discussed his work advising financial institutions at the height of the recent financial crisis. He commented on the government’s management of the crisis and said that “the actions taken by the government in 2008 and 2009 probably prevented another Great Depression.” He also added that in order to prevent a similar situation in the future, banks need balanced regulation. The article noted that smaller banks are now being acquired as a result of the financial crisis, and Mr. Cohen said that the desirable way for small banks to be acquired is for them to be acquired before they fail.
