Rodge Cohen and John Thain Interviewed on Bloomberg TV

January 11, 2010

Mr. Cohen was interviewed with John Thain, former chief executive officer of Merrill Lynch & Co., on Bloomberg TV. They discussed several topics currently facing Wall Street, including executive compensation, causes of and lessons learned from the financial crisis and regulatory oversight for financial institutions. Mr. Cohen gave his thoughts on the best and worst things to come out of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, a group established by Congress to investigate the causes of the financial crisis. “I think the worst thing that can come out of it is a search for villains because if we vilify individuals we're going to miss the real causes of the crisis. The best thing that can come out is, not surprisingly, the converse, which is to make and conduct a meaningful search for the real causes of what happened,” he said.
