Michael Wiseman Authors Blog Post on Corporate Governance Principles in Harvard Law School Forum

May 3, 2012

On May 3, Mr. Wiseman posted a discussion of The Clearing House Association Issues Draft Governance Principles on Harvard Law School Forum's Corporate Governance and Financial Regulations blog. Mr. Wiseman observed that, while good corporate governance alone could not have prevented the financial crisis, going forward it is critical for financial institutions to establish best practices for corporate governance. The Clearing House recently developed and submitted for public comment its Guiding Principles for Banking Organization Corporate Governance, in which Mr. Wiseman acted as an adviser to the Clearing House. Mr. Wiseman noted this submission is a significant step in advancing the discussion on how to achieve the appropriate balance in the corporate governance of the banking organizations vital to the U.S. banking system.
