Mark Menting Featured in Bloomberg Brief Interview

In its March 19 issue, Bloomberg Brief featured an interview with Mr. Menting titled, “Under Dodd-Frank, Bank Regulators Are Taking a Harder Look at Mergers,” in which Mr. Menting discussed the ramifications of the new financial stability criteria the bank regulators are required to consider in reviewing bank expansion proposals as well as the outlook for financial institutions M&A. The Q&A highlighted Mr. Menting’s representation of ING Groep NV in its $9 billion sale of its U.S. online bank, ING Direct, to Capital One Financial Corp which is the largest U.S. bank deal since 2008. The deal was one of the first transactions reviewed by the Federal Reserve under the new financial stability standard resulting from the Dodd-Frank Act.
