In a recent item titled “Four More for Frumkin,” The Daily Deal reported that Mr. Frumkin has “added four more deals to his résumé in the utilities sector this year,” including Dynegy Inc.’s proposed $4.7 billion sale to Blackstone Group LP in August. “Frumkin, who’s the head of M&A at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, won the assignment because he advised Dynegy’s independent directors on the company’s sale of nine power plants to LS Power Associates LP last year,” The Deal noted. Mr. Frumkin also represented UIL Holdings Corp. in its $1.3 billion agreement to buy three power plants from Iberdrola SA; E.ON AG in its $7.63 billion sale of Louisville Gas and Electric Co. and Kentucky Utilities Co. to PPL Corp.; and Sempra Energy in the sale of its joint venture RBS Sempra Commodities LLP with Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc.
