On December 9, Mr. Eitel and Ms. Nelles were featured in a Bloomberg Law interview in which they discussed, among other things, litigation emanating from the financial crisis. Ms. Nelles outlined what she believes will be the three main factors driving litigation, including the Dodd-Frank Act, government and congressional reports and a renewed focus on mortgage origination practices. She also noted that the government is looking at “reformation and solutions beyond dollars.” Mr. Eitel agreed and contrasted this period with the similar developments from the savings and loan crisis of the late 1980s. Ms. Nelles added that “so long as people are feeling unsteady, and people still feel unsteady, they are going to be looking to Wall Street to make them feel better.”
