Louise Delahunty Quoted in an American Lawyer Article on U.K. Bribery Act

October 15, 2011

Ms. Delahunty was quoted in an October 15 American Lawyer article titled, “The Corporate Criminal Plea Sails Overseas,” which focused on proposed alternatives within Britain's legal structure to increase the functionality of the new U.K. Bribery Act. As the article noted, the absence of a criminal plea agreement currently prevents many corporations from self-reporting due to the severe ramifications that follow, including automatic debarment from contracts. Ms. Delahunty explained, “It's impossible to bring over the self-reporting culture of the U.S. without the institutions that support it.”
