On June 23, Mr. Cohen took part in a discussion for the Wall Street Journal regarding the preparedness of the banking industry for another financial crisis entitled, “What's Fixed—and Not—With Banking.” Mr. Cohen explained that there needs to be more dialogue between the financial industry and the government authorities, as Dodd-Frank is a complicated, and often ill-drafted, piece of legislation. However, regulation has improved since 2008 because, as Mr. Cohen pointed out, “One of the problems in 2008 was there was no 'break glass here in case of fire' situation. There were no plans. Now there are plans, and there is a system in place.”
