Rodge Cohen Appointed to FDIC’s Systemic Resolution Advisory Committee

June 2011

Mr. Cohen has been appointed to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s newly formed Systemic Resolution Advisory Committee. The committee was created earlier this month to provide the FDIC guidance on issues related to the failure of large, systemically important institutions, including the successful unwinding of such a company. The 18-member committee, which had its first meeting on June 21, includes major figures in the financial world, such as Paul Volcker, the former chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, Don Kohn, a former vice chairman of the Federal Reserve, and William Donaldson, the former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as a number of well-known academics.
