Frank Aquila Quoted in Wall Street Journal Article on Decline in Deals

July 1, 2011

Mr. Aquila was quoted in a July 1 Wall Street Journal article titled, “Deals Declining as Worries Weigh,” which examined the various factors behind the drop in deals during the second quarter, including fears of another recession. “Companies have really cleaned up their balance sheets over the past few years, so they are now able to make significant acquisitions,” Mr. Aquila said. “At the same time, the caution and concern that led them to clean up the balance sheet could also be holding them back from doing a deal until they are convinced the economy is back on track.” The article also noted that in Dealogic’s global rankings for the second quarter, S&C “earned the top spot for working on deals worth a total of $112.2 billion.”
