On March 28, Mr. Aquila was a guest on Bloomberg TV's “Street Smart.” Mr. Aquila joined Bloomberg anchors Trish Regan and Matt Miller, and Bloomberg TV's M&A reporter Cristina Alesci for a roundtable discussion of M&A activity during the first three months of 2013. Mr. Aquila noted that although M&A activity in March had been lackluster, overall the quarter was active and up significantly when compared to the first quarter of 2012. Mr. Aquila pointed out that M&A activity so far this year has been much stronger in the United States than it has been in Asia or Europe. In response to a question as to why M&A is more active in the United States than other markets, Mr. Aquila pointed to a marked increase in business confidence here as a primary factor for increased levels of M&A activity.
