Sullivan & Cromwell LLP - November 18, 2011

The New York State Wage Theft Prevention Act (“WTPA”), which was enacted earlier this year, imposes new requirements on all private sector employers to provide employees with annual written notice of wages, and to obtain employees’ acknowledgement of the notice. The first yearly notice to existing employees must be provided on or before February 1, 2012.
