As described in our memorandum dated November 18, 2011, the New York Wage Theft Prevention Act (“WTPA”) requires all private sector employers who engage employees to perform services in New York to provide such employees with an annual written notice of wages. The first yearly notice to existing employees must be provided on or before February 1, 2012.
