Nicholas R. Baker is an associate in the Finance and Restructuring Group and joined the firm in September 2018. Mr. Baker advises corporations, private investment firms and financial institutions on a wide range of debt financing and restructuring transactions, including term loan and revolving facilities, investment grade and high-yield bond offerings, asset-based financings, and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Baker has acted for clients in a variety of transactions, including: Sempra Infrastructure Partners in the $6.8 billion project financing of the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 Project in Jefferson County, Texas; Golden Triangle Polymers Company, a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical Company and QatarEnergy, in the project financing of an $8.5 billion integrated polymers facility in Orange, Texas; Fiserv in the $20 billion financing related to its acquisition of First Data Corporation and its subsequent offering of $2 billion of unsecured notes as well as subsequent financing activities; Barclays Bank PLC as agent in a $2.01 billion debtor-in-procession financing to Cineworld Group plc in its Chapter 11 case; and Oaktree Capital Management in the Chapter 11 restructuring of SiO2 Medical Products and its affiliates.
