Michael Maney was a partner of the Firm from 1971 through 2003 and is now Senior Counsel. Mr. Maney is a member of the Corporate and Finance Group and the Financial Services Group. From 1977 to 1981 he was managing partner of the Firm's Washington D.C. office. For many years Mr. Maney was a litigator, but since 1984 he has been engaged in a transactional corporate, banking and securities practice. Mr. Maney is a member of the American Law Institute, where he was an adviser for Restatement, Third, Agency, is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a former Section Chair of the International Law & Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association, and is a member of the Board of Overseers of the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy. Prior to law school, he served in the United States Air Force and with the Central Intelligence Agency. He is fluent in Spanish.
