Jonathan S. Carter is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Group. Mr. Carter’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and regulatory investigations. Mr. Carter has represented global companies and financial institutions in connection with multifaceted litigation involving a wide variety of claims, including securities fraud, antitrust, RICO, market manipulation, and employment law claims. Mr. Carter has also advised leading companies in navigating high-stakes regulatory investigations, including investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Mr. Carter is Co-Chair of the Firm’s LGBTQ+ Network, serves on the Firm’s Diversity Committee, and is a board member of SAGE (Advocacy & Services for LGBTQ+ Elders), the country’s largest and oldest nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older people.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Carter served as a law clerk to Judge Susan L. Carney of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to Judge Stefan R. Underhill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
