Jennifer Sutton is a special counsel in our Financial Services Group. Her practice covers a wide array of regulatory, supervisory and enforcement matters relevant to our domestic and foreign financial services clients. She frequently advises banking organizations, cryptocurrency businesses, industry groups, and other traditional and non-traditional financial institution clients on all aspects of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering compliance and an extensive range of consumer compliance matters, as well as broader safety and soundness issues and corporate governance matters. Ms. Sutton also represents our financial services clients in sensitive and/or high-stakes internal reviews and investigations. She has represented clients in supervisory or enforcement matters before all Federal bank regulatory agencies, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Department of Justice and several state authorities. Ms. Sutton joined the Firm in 2013, after nearly 15 years of Federal government service. Among other roles, she served as a senior counsel in the Legal Division at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and was responsible for several complex and precedent-setting enforcement investigations and actions. While at the Federal Reserve, she played a key role in several significant matters during and in the wake of the Financial Crisis.
